Reading: The kinders have learned the words “I”, “am”, “the”, “little”, “who”, “a”, and “to”. If you see these words while reading with your child, see if they can find the word(s) in the book. We like to call it…“going on a word hunt”.
Math: This week, the kinders will review the properties of triangles and squares. We are also working on matching numbers to groups of objects.
Religion: In religion, we will learn about different teachers, specifically Jesus as our number one guide and teacher. The students will learn from Jesus’ teachings on how to live and what to do in different situations.
Writing: This week, the students will be finishing their handwriting book by completing the letter “Zz”.
Buddies: On Tuesday, the kindergarteners will work with their 7th and 8th grade buddies on an art project. We will be making pumpkins. Look for them hanging in the hallway!
Movie: On Wednesday afternoon, the students will get to watch “It’s a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”.
Halloween Party/Haunted Hut: The kindergarten Halloween party is this Thursday, Oct. 31st @ 2:00 pm! Please send your child’s costume with them to school. We will be changing into costumes at 1:30 pm before heading over to the “Haunted Hut”. Our “Haunted Hut time is from 1:30-2:00 pm. All are welcome to join during these events. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
